C. Richard McQueen is a graduate of DePauw University and the Duke University School of Law, and practices law in Atlanta, Georgia. His primary areas of practice include creditor’s rights, commercial litigation, contract rights, enforcement of lease and financing agreements and repossession of collateral, bankruptcy and bankruptcy tax, Miller Act claims, secured transactions, and corporate and business law.
Mr. McQueen has been a frequent lecturer at professional seminars.He taught Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations and bankruptcy tax courses for over ten years as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Emory University School of Law in Atlanta and taught a Sports Law and Business course at both the Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia State University in Atlanta
In addition to authoring several small books on corporations, law review articles and thirty-five (35) construction law articles, Mr. McQueen co-authored with Professor Jack Williams, a treatise on “Tax Aspects of Bankruptcy Law and Practice, 3rd Edition” (2 volumes), Thomson Reuters/West, 1997, which includes semi-annual supplements.
Mr. McQueen is a founding member of the Board of Directors, and a former president, of the Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute, a former chairman of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, and a Life Fellow of the Georgia Bar Foundation. In addition, he was chosen by his peers, for over ten years, for inclusion in “The Best Lawyers in America” and one of Georgia’s Super Lawyers for several years under the specialty area of bankruptcy and work-out.
Mr. McQueen has been listed for thirty-seven years, as AV (which is the highest possible peer review rating in legal ability and ethical standards), in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He has been designated by his colleagues and is listed for inclusion, in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent
